I picked weaving because I thought it would be fun and a new experience. The most challenging part of the project was not making the yarn too tight around the loom. It was difficult because you had to make an effort to not tighten it. I think it was pretty dang successful, mostly because Mrs. Sudkamp used it as an example for the other classes. When I started, I did not have any particular plan but it definitely took a turn for the better.
https://www.pinterest.com/bpingham/ The words I am representing are fat, chicken, and frinch frise. I think my piece represented these words pretty well. The layers I used were:
1. Words on clear tape from newspaper 2. Tissue paper 3. Printed letters 4. Chicken printed off and on clear tape 5. For taped to paper to represent the word fat I worked with Janine, Alyssia, and Anna. Janine helped build the set and changed the frames. Anna used her phone to take the pictures and helped build the set. Alyssia helped change the frames and find the pieces. The video was successful because it actually kind of looked like a sunset. If I were to do my project again, I would change the medium that we used. I would also choose a better storyline because a sunset was kind of boring and hard to do.
My limitation for this project was that I could only use wind and tie different colored sharpies to a tree and let nature do its thang. I overcame this limitation by actually making this piece look good. I was surprised that it looked as good as it did. I should never have doubted what nature could do.
